There is no difference between the three names. The original brand name registered by the pharmaceutical company Sanofi-Aventis for this weight loss drug was Acomplia. This name is used in Europe and some other parts of the world. Zimulti has been registered as the brand name for use in the US market. In parallel to brand names, the same drug is sold as a generic under the name Rimonabant. All three products are bioequivalent, i.e. the chemical composition, safety record and effectiveness are identical. The only difference lies in the price with the generic version of the drug being cheaper than the branded equivalent.
